The campground was ok for a weekend visit to Deadwood. I wouldn’t stay longer though. We had a site on the edge, so we had a “yard.” Other sites were very close together. Picnic tables are located at each site and the table for the site beside us was maybe .5 feet away from the camper. If you can get a site on the edge with a “yard,” do it. The very edge of the park used during the rally was dirty and needed to be cleaned up. There were many loose dogs and no idea if they were friendly. The campground was easy to get to. Navigating a large camper in the campground was difficult around some corners.
What a wonderful place to camp. Excellent staff and services. The old man running the gate for the weekend never wiped the smile off his face which was so nice to see. Such a great location for being close to down town. Recommend to anyone and everyone !!
Our first time staying here for the rally and it was the perfect location. The staff was super friendly and helpful and we loved all the events they had on the grounds. They also had a shuttle that brings you to wherever for a fee, which was very convenient. We will be back next year!
Rooms=Camp spot, there needs to be more spots for full hook-ups. Service-maybe it was due to the rally but the staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Got me in and out of the office and the one time I had to go into the office for an issue, I truly felt like I was disturbing them. Location is great, close to Sturgis! HOWEVER, you pay a ton to stay during the rally but they make you pay for the showers, which were gross! No toilet paper in the bathrooms past midnight and didn't restock until late in the morning the next day. I cannot recommend this campground for Sturgis Rally. I'll make reservations early next year so it's not a last choice.
Cabin was clean and comfortable, bath house was decently clean too. It is near I-90 which is very convenient. You can hear the highway even at the far end of the campground but I did not find it distracting (it just sounded like a white noise machine to me). Overall, one of the best night's sleep I've ever had and I would stay here again.
Nice moderately priced campground. Well managed operation without a lot of corny rules. Nice people, my kind of place.
Good spot to stay during sturgis motorcycle rally. If you're doing camper, no hookups be sure to bring water as they charge $50 to fill up any size tank. We also forgot our water hose so we had to buy one from them to fill up. The roads were mush from the rain but dried up quickly.
Very nice campground. Staff is friendly, Check in was easy and location was perfect for what we were doing in the area. Sites are a tad close…when we put our slide out, it encroached in on our neighbors table. Luckily, they ate inside …
